Review on πŸ’ͺ Ingersoll Rand 5102MAX Air Grinder: Precision and Power Combined by Cameron Novak

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Slightly more expensive but worth the extra money in my book

The build quality is exceptional - and I'm a mechanical engineer who designs things like this for a living. Very good ergonomics. The spindle lock button for tool changing turned out to be much more convenient than I expected. No more fiddling with two wrenches (both non-standard) and breaking your knuckles trying to break free. Comes with a (slightly odd) rubber "toe" and mounting hardware to direct exhaust air away from what you're working on. I've only used this tool a few times so far, but to this day I like it. My only minor complaint: no instructions. were included that even explained what that rubber sock was for or how to attach it with some cryptic hardware. This is a simple tool so a 40 page brochure would be a waste of time. How about a piece of paper explaining this app and how to install it?

Pros
  • Die Grinder
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
