After about 75,000 miles I replaced the stock rear shocks on my 2007 Rendezvous with an ACDelco 530-393. They fit perfectly and it probably improved the ride and handling a bit. After just 3 years and 25,000 miles, the ride has definitely gotten bouncy. I've been looking for a monotube shock absorber that would give better control of body movement. They are only made by KYB so I bought a KG5045 Gas-A-Just. I'm excited. The rebound was gone on our frosty roads. Going over a bridge crossing on a freeway eliminates the tendency to roll. The only complaint I have is the physical form. The upper shock mount was very tight. In fact, I couldn't install the bracket without grinding off a few mm of the bushing width on the shock. Not much but it's disappointing that a 1 hour job turned into a 2 hour job. I still don't regret the purchase as the driving control is amazing!
