What a fun way to decorate a letter! 3 pieces of wax are ideal for a stamp. Two (as you can see in the picture) wasn't enough. I cleaned the spoon after each stamp. For the multicolored stamp, I just melted the different colors without mixing them. Candlestick/spoon gets hot and it's wood. I'm not surprised a reviewer said they lit a fire. I've only made three stamps and I would have been uncomfortable writing a whole stack of letters or leaving without blowing out the candle and letting it all cool. I left the stamp in place for about 10 seconds while I cleaned the spoon. I have never pressed a stamp firmly into the wax. It's heavy enough to fall into the wax and get a great print. I tried separating the wax from the paper and it didn't move, so I'm sure it will handle the mail just fine. The color palette is so much fun and I can't wait to buy more stamps from my local HL.
