Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Delta Cycle Airzound Bike Horn - 115 DB Loud Rechargeable Bicycle Horn for Adults - Adjustable Volume, No Batteries Required - Weatherproof Thermoplastic - Road and Mountain Bike Horn by Tim Kallimanis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Questionable design and build quality

To save money on production and load even more than ever, the manufacturer now uses a plastic canister with a plastic lid that supposedly can seal Compressed air 80psi. The hose and canister connection tends to leak, in my case at 30psi after a few days of cycling. How do I know? I've had TWO of these items in the last few months and both locations have leaked. I still have the old metal canister version on another bike and it's been working great for about six years now. So six years versus less than a month is the product reliability factor I apply to this product which is why I am rating it ONE STAR and no more. Maybe I just have two defective units of course, or maybe the bike bouncing compromised the integrity of the horn, but shouldn't it be used there? Unfortunately, I can't find any other manufacturer that uses a metal canister instead of a plastic canister, which seems to compromise the integrity of the hose and canister connection.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • I don't have a huge aversion to it, everything is fine
