Poor quality wire, I found a section about 4 inches long with only a few strands of wire in the insulation. I bought a cable to power the rear of my camper van with 12v. I pulled about 25 feet of wire to the floor to make sure I had enough, I routed and routed the wire where it needs to be to make sure I have excess so there are no high voltage areas, after everything was done I noticed One of the switches had no power so I went back by tracing the wire and the 4 inch point with just a few strands of wire in the insulation. This could easily lead to overheating or cause a more serious problem.
