I bought this to replace the original NSA cable for our Ready Brute Elite hitch system that I had an RV contractor install 'professionally' in 2015. You routed the wire too close to the Jeep's exhaust manifold. almost in a straight line. Unfortunately, the cable jacket has melted onto the cable and prevents proper operation, so the brakes will not work in the towed vehicle. I routed a new cable around the wheel to keep it away from the heat source. In fairness the instructions say to keep it away from heat sources, but since it has to run through the engine compartment of the vehicle being towed you would think they would go for a wiring system that could handle the engine heat.
