RAM is RAM. That's a value! "Made in USA " sticker on product box vs. other vendors

Honestly, you don't need branded RAM. Other than that, it's Timetec's Hynix brand, so it's comparable to your OEM type of RAM when you got your MacBook Pro. At $89.99 plus tax it was a steal! Since RAM equals RAM, as long as you meet the requirements, you don't need to pay more as it offers the same, if not better, performance than the more expensive ones. Installation on a mid 2012 Macbook Pro was a breeze, I didn't even have to disconnect the battery. Simply discharge static electricity by touching the metal case and blow dust off the components while it's still open. When I turned on the MacBook Pro, I found that it only had 16GB of RAM. I then ran a memtest on the RAM (it took 30 minutes) but it confirmed the RAM was good and healthy. And to top it off, the product packaging says MADE IN USA. Other expensive rams are made in China (assembled in the US), Taiwan or the Philippines, but not this one. I'm surprised this TimeTec RAM didn't get more reviews than other companies.
