This kit is perfect, has many different sizes allowing for a variety of carved items.
I carved several small models of weapons from video games I play and thought looked cool enough to try and replicate. The wood is hard yet soft, allowing for easy trimming with resistance to not take off too much or break fine pieces.Pros:Decent HardnessNo NotchesSmooth and solid all the way throughPerfect for a hobbyistCons:Not really any, except for sanding takes a good bit of effort to get all the lines perfect.

- You do NOT GET the correct sizes and they are tiny useless to do anything with them. Waste of money.
