We live next to our grandchildren who come and go all the time. My husband finally snapped the latch on our new wooden gates. I really like this design and functionality. It has a handle that they can use on their side and our side has a snap mechanism. Note that sometimes you need to adjust the gate yourself. After repeated use of the wooden gate and exposure to the elements, the fence can give a little, causing the latch to no longer align properly - you just have to level the old fence and the latch will work properly again.
