First of all I like the balance of the stick as well as the look. He does what they say he does when it comes to standing unaided. However, I played my first round on wet grass and some rain, and when I pulled the racquet out of my head on the next round, he was under cover early. Rust. When I received the stick it was rough like it didn't have a coating and apparently it didn't. If I had known that rust would form soon I would not have bought it. ***Update: To their credit, they quickly sent me a brand new stick to replace the rusty one. In their attempts to get me a replacement quickly (thanks S7K) they didn't say if it was a one-of-a-kind stick and everything else was properly coated to prevent rust. However, when a new one comes along and it's the same raw texture, I go to Home Depot to get a small can of clear rustoleum coating for $4 and work on the head. Why? I like the shape of the stick. I like a stick with a wide blade and it suits me. I just feel like it's the right balance and so I'm willing to put in a little extra effort (although I don't have to put in the effort) to make this stick work for me in the long run. I've already tried to find other clubs that suit me. different handles. lead tape. etc., so 90 seconds to spray a clear coat isn't a big deal to me. But I am. So I changed my overall rating from 1 star to 3 because they were quickly replaced. They would get 5 stars if they confirmed mine must have slipped through the coating process and all other S7K racquets are clear coated. I think the worst that can happen is IF you buy it and you really like it (and so do I). And if you do get some rust, you can spend $9 on a rust remover gel and a rustoleum clear coat and fix the problem in 5-10 minutes of effort. I hope this review is helpful. hit her right!
