I have used this on a pair of Bacchetta Giro (20 and A26) recumbents. The cables to the sensor are just sufficient for this. It can get a bit tight if you're tall and hold the handlebars up, but I got a few extra inches. I like it because I can see all the parameters I want to track on one screen: current speed, trip distance, average speed, trip time and top speed. I don't want displays that scroll or cycle through readings. I also prefer a wired system like this to avoid interference and connectivity issues and to avoid extra batteries and extra battery drain. I have a few issues with it, most of them minor. 1) The "button" mechanism when you slide the computer into its holder to change the display is not very good. This is a bit inconvenient compared to a regular button. It can also get stuck so that pressing to change the display becomes "press for 3 seconds to clear trip data" instead. Since it always wakes up on the first display and I always want to use the third display, I have multiple options per ride to clear my odometer and stats. 2) It looks like the time it takes to detect this. My stop is not removed from the trip stats. This means that the average speed will be slightly lower when there are many stops.3) The display update interval is approximately three seconds. I know I could write firmware to reduce the time to a second or even less. It's fairly minor but can be annoying. 4) The second one that came with the bike I bought has problems with the whole computer suddenly restarting. This rarely happens and may involve getting wet; I haven't fully figured it out yet. A fresh battery did not fix the problem. 5) On both of my computers, the display often has a dark spot at the bottom, probably at the ground connection. This is a cosmetic effect as the characters on the display are not shaded. I think it can only happen some time after power on. 6) The installation process is lengthy and error-prone. This is probably unavoidable and should rarely occur. 7) Data and calibration are not retained when the battery is replaced. So be sure to save the calibration settings and record the mileage before replacing the battery. On my second device that has reset issues, this means that parts of the mileage are lost because it resets without warning. All in all, I'd recommend this, and given the lack of options in wired computers, I'd probably buy it again. .
