Of all the screws you have to deal with when assembling a crate, these can be a real torture. They are designed to cut themselves into the plastic of the fan mounted on your case. Therefore, they require great care when turning. Their Achilles heel is that the head screw slots are VERY easy to remove. I tried to alleviate this by using a ratchet and applying pressure on both sides. Does the job and the fans are solid. Some fan screws are made of better material. I know I've come across a few here and there. What would make her really great is that they should make them with raised hex heads, much like how standard computer case screws are made, instead of a flat head with a Phillips head. And whether they are made in this way, I have not yet encountered.
