Review on H R 50898 88 Race Spring by Matthew Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Properly lowered

My rating of these springs is based on my experience with them after installing Sprint springs on my 1998 Dodge Neon. These springs are quite stiff. However, due to the ride height and suspension travel of the lowered car, they need to be strong. I have the feeling that I have the car under very good control. When used on luggage racks that are not blown up, the ride does not become unnecessarily "jumping". Earlier springs were very soft. too soft. The rear suspension kept sagging and hitting the bumpers. It even knocked out my rear camber adjustment. That has never happened with these H&R springs, not even on railroad tracks. I'm very impressed that the stiffness of the springs matches the level of lowering of the car. *** When installing new lowering springs, always ensure good upper strut mounts, spring isolators and struts. Plan to replace them. . This will save you a lot of trouble later***
