Any surface that appears to be sanded is in fact simply belt sanded to remove paint and give it a "polished" appearance. The quill has a 1.5 mm (0.060 inch) TIR spacing, which causes the drill to wander when trying to "hit the target” or when actually grabbing the material. The vises are made from scrap aluminum, but they actually had a real machined finish; Sorry it wasn't parallel to the raw base of the vise. The spring feed (the part that moves the spring up and down) had a pitch in the gear train of 0.120 inches (3 mm). As a result, it would be impossible to control the pitch, especially at the break when the risk of a dangerous save is greatest. The imposing scales on adjustable surfaces like the table tilt are actually dumb stickers that won't stick to the shaped surfaces they're attached to. I know you get what you pay for, but this product goes above and beyond what is possible. Do not be fooled. I assembled it, tested it, then took it apart and put it back in the box to send it back. Too much wasn't done right to even record.
