Review on πŸŽ›οΈ Adjustable Roller Switch with Arduino Compatibility - ME 8108 by Tim Evans

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Worst product design I've ever seen.

These switches are rated at 5A 250VAC, 0.5A at 115VAC. They are designed for harsh environments (CNC). Without packaging, the resistance at NC contacts was up to 15 ohms. The normally open contact set was variable, ranging from 25 to 250 ohms when activated. The lever arm is bent, the lever mounting block is cracked. 2 threaded holes for screws are already drilled in the cover. The lever arm is made of inferior metal and bends easily. The roller wheel mount is a pressed bolt, so you can't mount the wheel on the underside of the arm. The lid is made of very thin plastic and tends to tear when trying to squeeze the cheap rubber seal. The clearance inside the cover or wiring between the rubber boot and the terminal block is minimal. The switch body is a rough casting with thick paint affecting the fit of the cover and gaskets. The rubber parts, lid gasket and wire housing are made of cheap vinyl and cannot withstand UV or heat. I wanted to use this to turn on the 24V LED lighting when the gate is opened. I've been a manufacturing electrician for over 30 years and have used these types of switches in many applications. This switch is not suitable for sale. Do not use it to switch 115V electricity, it may cause fire. I throw away the two I get and order the Honeywell, Square D, or Allen Bradley models.
