Update #2: 2nd lasted less than a year and a half. The USB-A port still works, but the USB PD Type-C port just died (during an extended vacation, unfortunately). It seems fair to hope for the best. Rating down 1 star I took the car to the dealer. The electrical system was checked and it turned out that the problem was in the Nektek charger. Took me $71 and a half a day. Update: Nekteck support contacted me the same day my review was posted. They agreed to replace the charger and also refunded me the amount my Honda dealer charged me to find out the Nekteck charger was faulty and my electrical system was fine. The refund should be in the form of a Revain gift card. A replacement charger will be shipped directly from Nektak. I have asked for someone to personally test the replacement before shipping. I have also asked them to postpone the delivery as I will be out of the country. I was hoping to catch it between trips. My Honda's rear sockets are connected to a 20A fused circuit and the front sockets are connected to a 15A fused circuit. A faulty nekteck will blow any circuit. I asked Nekteck about the charger's internal backup performance. Answer: 7A. The charger itself. Finally I was able to try the replacement and it works fine. So far I've only used it to charge a non-fast charge phone that has a Type-C charging port and charge a pair. Power banks that use both microUSB ports. I charged my phone via both USB Type-A output port and Type-C PD port and monitored the charging currents. The maximum charging current I've seen so far has been 2.3A for my phone from a Type A USB output port. I assumed I'd see a higher current compared to Type C, but so far I've seen that he only reaches 1.7 A be interesting to follow the charging behavior with other devices. Upgraded from 1 star, Nekteck's responsiveness and proactive customer service in particular was the biggest benefit. I would buy from this company anytime. Plus 2. And plus 1 for a working replacement.
