Works on XPS 13 9370

I tested it on my XPS 13 9370 and it loads great, no error messages. It also charges my Pixel 2. I travel a lot and really need a DC car charger for my laptop that works for me. Make sure you understand the USB-C specs, they're confusing. I was looking for USB-C PD cables that can handle 100W. I don't do much data work so I looked for PD cables. I started labeling my cords because some of my phone cords are under-wattage for a laptop. Confusion, yes, hopefully this will all clear up with time…

Full power, cool running, solid construction, good looks

How excited you can be about a car charger, right? Pretty much, as it turns out. I'm so used to the fact that car chargers are the most brittle of plastic, making close contact only half the time and often losing contact until rotated and jiggled in the right order. This humble little charger changes all that. The assembly is solid. Contact with the 12 V socket is absolutely safe thanks to very strong internal contact springs. It actually delivers the rated power as shown in the attached image…

I usually buy Anker, but this charger from Nekteck really won me over.

For me this is a great car charger for my Pixel and OnePlus. Loads very fast. My rough estimate is that the battery will increase by about 1% every 50 seconds or so. The fit and finish of the charger is excellent. Significantly higher than I expected. Not because I have low expectations, but because the price was significantly lower than competing products. The packaging also convinced me. They didn't save there either. I have never bought anything from this company/brand. I almost always…

Output power does not exceed 36W

I bought this car charger a while ago and recently bought another Nekteck charger: Nekteck 4-Port USB C Charger 72W Type C Charging Station 60W Power Delivery PD for 2017 MacBook Pro, Pixel 2/ Pixel/ Pixel XL Galaxy Note 8/ S8/ S8 Plus More, Black, and since I found that it doesn't charge at full power of 60W, which is suitable for my laptop, I decided to to test it. As it turns out, this car charger delivers no more than 1.8A at 19.8V (approx. 35-36W, per port, no wire loss) into my late 2016…

Fast charge capability, but only when nothing is plugged into the USB-A port

PRO: #USB-IF CERTIFIED. Ever since my family's Pixel and Pixel XL updated to the latest OS, charging with PD Power Delivery (where the words "Fast Charge" appeared on the phone's screen while charging) didn't work if the charger wasn't USB-IF -was certified. This car charger is USB-IF certified via a Type-C connector, so it will definitely charge your Pixel or Pixel XL when plugged in. CONS: # A Pixel or Pixel XL will not charge at all via a Type-C port when something is plugged into a USB-A…

Charging is normal, cable most likely not

The charger itself appears to be in good condition but there are doubts about the cable in the kit and I would recommend buying a separate cable. A few months ago I noticed that my phone (Pixel XL) got very hot around the charging port after plugging it into the charger with the cable that came with it. When I unplugged it, the plug itself was very hot and I also noticed that the phone doesn't say it's charging. For the next two days I had trouble charging my phone regardless of the charger but

Update #2: 2nd lasted less than a year and a half. The USB-A port still works, but the USB PD Type-C port just died (during an extended vacation, unfortunately). It seems fair to hope for the best. Rating down 1 star I took the car to the dealer. The electrical system was checked and it turned out that the problem was in the Nektek charger. Took me $71 and a half a day. Update: Nekteck support contacted me the same day my review was posted. They agreed to replace the charger and also refunded…

NekTeck customer service comes in via

UPDATE 5/10/19: Neckteck shipped me a replacement that worked fine for a while so I'm editing my review in light of their constant efforts to make things right. At least they want to make their customers happy. This charger kept blowing fuses in my car's outlet. Just in case, I checked another fuse for 15A, then 20A, then 25A - everything blew instantly. It's better than burning my phone (like another charger from the same company almost did) I think, but still not good as I had to buy a pack…

  • Unbelievable price

The charger is well built, very durable and charges my Pixel 3 as fast as I could ask for. The cable that comes with it is also of good quality. I've been using this charger and cable for 11 months now and haven't had the slightest problem with any of them. The standard USB port is great for charging other devices at the same time, and as far as I can tell, using the second port doesn't affect my Pixel 3's charging speed. The charger has a blue LED to indicate this. he has power. I like the way

Fast customer support! Discreet power indicator

Wow! Nekteck support replied to my email within 20 minutes! In the evening! It's outrageous and there's a lot to be said. In my RV I use Nekteck's USB-C output to charge my Jackery Power Bar Portable Laptop Charger, Jackery PowerBar 77Wh/20800mAh, 85W (100W Max) Travel Laptop Power Bank and MacBook Power Bank, HP, Thinkpad, Laptop and others to charge laptops that I also bought from Revain. The Nekteck charger works great. I bought it to charge at 45W via the USB-C port. It works very well…
