These keys worked great. You can easily program the remote control yourself by googling the instructions. Most locksmiths can cut them open to open doors and insert them into the ignition. However, there is one more step which is to program the internal flash memory with the immobilizer to allow the car to turn on. My locksmith was able to cut the key, but he had to remove the immobilizer under the steering wheel from the car, connect it to the computer with a wire harness, and then program each of the keys to start the car. The keys work great but the BMW immobilizer requires that extra step. I have a bmw x3 2006.
