I deducted 1 star because it arrived cracked on arrival and I deducted another star because the top/lid is chrome plated plastic. I come back and leave with something else. I normally use a 16oz forlife coffee press which has served me well for the past 4 years but I need a little extra when making 4 cups of coffee. The thickness of the glass wall is 2.5-2.6mm, not including the wider lip. . The Forlife brand was 3.1mm, although it was glass with a much smaller volume. You might think it would be thicker. Although the grip seems quite stiff. What I liked was that it came with lots of accessories and 2 pretty glass espresso glasses and also had 2 filters installed for extra sifting, but I never tried it because it was broken on arrival.
