Very disappointing Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I am very disappointed with this Acer webcam. I had high hopes after living with a good but not great no-name camera for most of the pandemic. This camera is so poorly constructed that I honestly don't even know where to start. First, the cable is very thick, (relatively) inflexible and heavy, and it's sticking right out of the bottom of the camera - you know where your monitor would be. That means the camera doesn't lay flat on almost any monitor. Either the weight of the cable is pulling it down, or the cable is pressing against the top of the monitor, causing it to tip over. In my case both. The flexible base is much more rigid than some other cameras I've had, making it difficult to find a good fit. The lens barrel appears square but almost imperceptibly rectangular, meaning that while the body cap is appreciated, it only fits in 2 of the 4 possible orientations. It's also a very tight fit, meaning taking it off again will limit your camera's angle of view. It is not so bad. Installation with Windows 10 is literally "plug and play”. The included cable is approximately 2.4m long for easy placement. Image quality is very good to excellent, and color temperature is fairly accurate, if a bit cool. Two things that are good or bad depending on your point of view: 1) It's a VERY wide screen. Seriously, just a little more and it'll be a fish eye - hopefully your lingerie will match! 2) The image tends to be a bit overexposed (for photos, I think it would be +0.6 to +2 Ev). I suspect it was set up for large, poorly lit corporate conference rooms. That's too many words to say I would look elsewhere. Thank you for reading.
