They are not 'red', friends described them as pink. However, they look good (to me) on black rims. You need a deep socket to remove them, protective. The paint covering the grommets has a tendency to chip and if you use the wrong size grommets you can warp the edges where you apply the force to twist them to make them look like they have nicks and scratches.
