**EDIT** 06/01/2021 I spoke too soon. This is AGAIN a detector error issue as mentioned in the original review. Ridiculous, they last LESS THAN A YEAR! Unless you plan on dealing with the same issue over and over again, I think stay away for now. They sent me two new ones to replace and they've been working for about 4 or 5 months now. Let's see if that holds up. Original rating. That thing is really annoying. We have it in the same place as all of our detectors. In the corridors to the en-suite bedrooms on the same corridor. It's not that close to the bathroom, but every time we get out of the shower and open the door, BAM, "Detector error in hallway, please see manual." And of course it echoes the others downstairs too. It then only chirps 3 times before it stops recognizing anything. The situation is getting worse and worse in the sense that it would have been random when we first got it a little over a year ago, now it happens EVERY TIME. NONE of the previous detectors did this. We changed the batteries but nothing changed. I'm ready to throw them in the trash.
