Review on πŸ” Celestron AstroMaster 130EQ Reflector Telescope - Ideal for Beginners - Enhanced Glass Optics - Adjustable Tripod Stand - Includes Astronomy Software Bundle by Lee Do-yun ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

The telescope is already seven years old. Despite the fact that the old mount is still intact. I bought a 4 mm eyepiece, a 2x barlow lens and changed the finder with a dot to a collimator. Now it hits exactly where it pointed, even with a 4 mm eyepiece. M 31 (The Andromeda Galaxy is gorgeous and makes it clear how grandiose the universe is and how fragile our world is) I have not learned how to set it by coordinates, I use sky maps, probably like most who do not have automatic aiming at objects. I loosen the screws and turn like a machine gun into a civilian)) No one has presented filters yet, I look at the moon through sunglasses. To search for objects, I downloaded Stellarium to my laptop (it even shows the movement of artificial satellites in real time). I transport it with a fastened seat belt in the back seat, nothing has gone astray in it yet.

Pros
  • Price, image quality. As a first telescope, the best choice in my opinion. No chromatic aberrations. Disassembles and assembles quickly.
Cons
  • Flimsy, sensitive mount, low-quality plastic. Bolts are often lost. Using a standard finder and pointing your finger at the sky is one and the same. I didn't get a bag for him. The mirror collects dust and dew well.
