The player is awesome and -> How to Change Blu-ray Region (Such a long review) <-

Hello, the purpose of this review is to confirm the quality, commend the seller for their excellent service and give EXACT advice on how to change the Blu-ray regions as there is nowhere can be found on page 61 . LG's online manual and that's my only fault and that's why LG only gets 4 stars for the user interface.1. I bought it from 220-Electronics, a long-established Illinois company. They sent me a really good quality product, well packaged, delivered quickly and responded within a few hours (normal business hours) whenever I had any questions. They also didn't refer me to the LG manufacturer but answered my questions and were very patient. Buy from them! I will not be compensated, I just believe in what I say.2. How to change Blu-ray regions to A, B, or C. First, 220-Electronics included a printout of this in the box, but others may not buy from them, so I'll detail it for those of you who do get it address that in another place. . Note that the DVD regions are hard-coded in the player, so all you have to do is load the disc. This should happen automatically. Changing the Blu-Ray region involves a few steps that LG didn't make intuitive at all. But I verified it myself on the "Studiocanal" print of the Japanese disc in 4k "RAN". So first JP - reg.A, before FR - reg. B. - Good test. The hard drive was reg. B and my player arrived Reg. A, which in this case means USA by default. How to change Blu-ray region: First, turn on the player and open the tray with the eject button on the remote control. Secondly, as above, press button "1" for A, "2" for B or "3" for C on the remote control. The player will restart and return to the main screen. Then load the disc of the selected region and navigate from there as usual. No message is displayed. If you have a problem, just repeat it. Please note that the small green light on the front of the player will flash whenever you press any button, no matter where you do it. This lets you know that it received instructions to play, change region, eject, or whatever. So far it seems to have reset to Reg. A when the player is off, but your mileage may vary. That's really all you have to do! Also note: I only use non-US commercial discs, that's all I can confirm. But it plays my home download DVDs ok. It is of course the DVD Reg. 1. 3. This player is great! I can't recommend him enough. Image quality, spring bandwidth, the specificity of the image and sound, as well as the settings - all at the highest level. It's reliable and quiet, and it gets a lot of use! I'm not really a Smart TV fan, so I don't use those features, instead playing discs on this thing and working like a mule. Owned for 5 months. I initially had some teething problems with 4k but that turned out to be the LG C8 TV's fault as I set it to HDMI Auto instead of specifying exactly which HDMI port. First disappointing! But in the end it's an easy fix, and it was on the TV side, not the player side. It seems that devices often perform what is called a "handshake" to ensure functionality, but when both try to find each other, this handshake can actually result in an ex cetera freeze or loss of audio. But then again, this is for the TV, not this player. The first time you use it, you'll need to set up the player (doesn't ask for region, btw), but generally this is a common thing unless you're using Smart TV capabilities. Then you can do it through the monitor/TV if you don't plan to control it through the player. It's your choice and no problem if you buy it to play discs. Another IMPORTANT thing to mention is the 4K capabilities. Both the LG player, LG C8 TV and Samsung HW-N850 Harmon-Kardon soundbar I have were deliberately chosen for their ability to display HDR, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, DTS:X and Dolby ( picture) or play (sound). The atmosphere. This player excels in ALL, as evidenced by the quality of the soundbar and monitor. Photos are amazing! Dolby Vision is particularly impressive! A soundbar is not a home cinema, but a great and probably the best soundbar - at least I think so. Full pass with no errors after correct adjustment. And I say "worked out" because some decisions are based on your aesthetic and take time to pump up just right. Finally, both standard Blu-ray and DVD discs work perfectly. All in all, I was completely satisfied with both the player and the company that sold it - I hope you are too. Enjoy!
