Put on our new freezer to check the temperature without opening the lid. I used velcro and put the front middle cover in with a probe. Small wires are no problem for the cover. It works great and in this place you can't miss it if you're around to discover or just walk by. He's in the garage, and it's very hot and cold here in Texas. We lost some groceries and ice cream when our old unit died and we didn't realize in time that it had problems. This temperature sensor should let us know about the problem before it's too late. I like it and will buy more if needed.
