Do not use a mesh screen! Dry pile is more likely to accumulate.
I have changed my rating from five to one star. DO NOT use mesh screens. Dryer lint accumulates and is a serious fire hazard. My drying lint accumulated behind the screen and my clothes would not dry. I thought something was wrong with my dryer and luckily found that the vent was completely clogged with lint. I removed the mesh screen and made a lid on the outside so the mice couldn't access the louvered lid. Do not use a mesh screen. The rest of the ventilation is fine. Dry heap is highly flammable. Keep ventilation clean.
