I will buy wide shoes. I have very wide feet, like snorkel fins. Before that I had the ASICS Mens Gel-Venture 6 Running in size 12.6 which was the perfect width but ended up being too roomy. The 11.5 X-Wide Venture 8 (because wide isn't offered) was perfect, and as most reviewers say, they're a bit narrower, which makes sense. I ran a few times and had no blisters or shoe issues. My only downside is that the right soul of the shoe falls off a bit. It is offset slightly to the left and not quite as comfortable as a left boot. Someone said in questions that these showers are detachable but adhere pretty well. I have purchased new souls but will be using the ones provided for now as removing them can ruin the shoes or leave torn pieces of the glued soul.
