ASICS Men's Gel-Venture 8: 🏃 Unleash Your Ultimate Trail Running Adventure Review

I bought these shoes as hiking shoes. I wear an 11 1/2 4E and bought this size and they fit perfectly. They have slightly better arch support than my Gel-Venture 6 shoes. I ran them about 70 miles in Utah in the two weeks after buying them. They have excellent grip on all types of sandy and rocky trails. These are great walking shoes.

My last 5 pairs of shoes were ASICS so I was surprised when they were too snug and tight. This particular style is said to be designed for wide feet and good arch support. I haven't found one or the other. After going up a few sizes, the shoes weren't tight anymore. However, after walking a mile in it, my toes went numb. This. Currently wearing a Gel-Venture 6. Just getting these Gel-Venture 8 shoes would be an upgrade. These shoes, much inferior to the 6 shoes, have very thin laces with spaced eyelets which makes them look weird. But the worst thing is that they fit. They feel a size smaller and x-wide feels like a regular M width. Return and departure with another pair of Gel-Venture 6

I've been wearing Asics shoes for decades. This is the first time that I am not completely satisfied with a pair. I don't know if they were defective, fake or otherwise, but they didn't fit me.
