It works - a bit annoying

Fits my door and window. The picture shows the plastic part at the top rear of the supplied panel. It is not. I had to drill out the rivets on the old part and attach them to the new one (I used screws and caulk - not sure how well this will hold up over time). The harness terminal holes were useless. I ended up using zip ties wherever I could.

I hope I never have to fix this again.

First, it is very difficult to get hold of. I watched a youtube video on disassembly and assembly. Take photos of each step to ensure proper wiring. The tabs that attach the cables to the frame will not match the new ESC. The old grommets are oval, while the holes in the new regulator are round. I removed the oval tabs from the wiring harness, used the base of the zip tie and attached the electrical wire directly to the regulator without interfering with the up/down window guides. I pray I…

    worked fine. Total

My 2006 Sonata. The holes for attaching wires are round, not oblong, but I knew that before ordering. I used the edge of the drill to oblong the holes. I had to use a dremel tool. Also, I had to line up the slotted holes the same as the holes on the original ESC because the wiring didn't end up long enough. I had to change the initial sharpening of the holes slightly to make the wiring a bit longer. Creating slotted holes took only a few minutes. never mind The hole that allows access to the…

    Window regulator Hyundai Sonata 2006

What saves lives. I have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS-4 cylinder and my rear window fell into the door. The product fits like a glove and my mechanic installed it with no problems. I wish I could replace it myself, but you'll have to carve out the rivets holding the vertical lift on the side of the door so the window pane separates from the white lift on the other side (yes, no joke). The product comes with rivet ties for the speaker as you will need to drill out the rivets around the speaker to…

    • There are nuances

The first thing I noticed was that 82484-3S000 Retainer-FR The left door latch was missing. The photo of this item in the catalog shows that the latch is part of the assembly. I removed the retainer from the old regulator by drilling out the rivets holding it in place. I then had to buy screws to attach the old bracket to the new regulator. When installing the new controller, I noticed that the slots for the cable holders were round and not the original elongated holes as shown in the catalog…

change required. Does not fit directly, buyers beware!

If you own a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, this part is not a direct replacement without modification. The holes for the factory harness clips in the Dorman plate are round but in the original factory part they are oval which means you will not be able to attach the harness to the new Dorman plate unless you change the harness clip holes, to adjust them factory oval clips. I used a Dremel tool and a file. The center screw hole that attaches the window to the rail is also a smaller diameter, so the…

    Fits mostly my 2009 Sonata

As others have said, be prepared for some modifications. The harness terminal holes are 7mm round in diameter and should be a 7 x 11cm oval. There are 5 terminals, 2 on one side (same side as the speaker) and 3 on the other (door frame cavity). I used a rat tail file to make the 3 holes for the inner clips oval. This took about an hour. You need to be careful not to let the sawdust get into the mechanism. For the other two holes, I screwed the zip tie holders onto the adjuster. The hole for the

You have to change it, but it works.

On 10/19/18 this power window was installed on the rear left door of a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. As many people have pointed out, to make it work like the original, you need to change it. The first thing to change is the holes for the wire clamps. They must be oval. I used the bit from the Wolfride 10 Carbide Bur Set. with 1/8 "shank" sold here at Revain for about $10. I used a cylindrical shaped bit with a rounded head. This is the perfect size for making oval holes. I used bits in a Dremel 4300…

    Fits like original AFTER modifications

I start ALL my ratings with 5 stars and then go down if there are problems. Like all others, 3 different modifications are required (recommended) for this panel to match the original. The first thing NOT the manufacturer's fault is the speaker mount. The loudspeaker is riveted to the plate. Therefore you will need to drill out the rivets to remove the speaker and then attach it to the new panel with screws. I have a lot of gear and I found some small nuts and bolts to hold mine. Aside from…
