Review on Dorman 749-322 Black Rear Driver Side Window Regulator for Hyundai Models: A Reliable Choice by Anthony Wilson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits mostly my 2009 Sonata

As others have said, be prepared for some modifications. The harness terminal holes are 7mm round in diameter and should be a 7 x 11cm oval. There are 5 terminals, 2 on one side (same side as the speaker) and 3 on the other (door frame cavity). I used a rat tail file to make the 3 holes for the inner clips oval. This took about an hour. You need to be careful not to let the sawdust get into the mechanism. For the other two holes, I screwed the zip tie holders onto the adjuster. The hole for the removable dowel to access the window mounting screw is too small and has a protrusion so the dowel will not hold. I glued the cap in place. All other holes were correct in size and location. There is very little information on the internet on how to remove and reinstall the controller, motor, wire connectors and window glass. In addition, the speaker must be drilled out of the old controller and screwed to the new one. So it's not the first time. Take lots of photos and take notes. In total I spent about 12 hours. Half of that was spent figuring out how to take the block apart and how to modify the new regulator. The attached picture shows the new ESC with 3 redesigned clamp holes, 2 cable ties and a speaker installed. The regulator looked good.
