Review on Dorman 749-322 Black Rear Driver Side Window Regulator for Hyundai Models: A Reliable Choice by Michael Hogate

If you own a 2008 Hyundai Sonata, this part is not a direct replacement without modification. The holes for the factory harness clips in the Dorman plate are round but in the original factory part they are oval which means you will not be able to attach the harness to the new Dorman plate unless you change the harness clip holes, to adjust them factory oval clips. I used a Dremel tool and a file. The center screw hole that attaches the window to the rail is also a smaller diameter, so the factory rubber plug that covers the hole won't fit. I used 3M sealant to tape it around the hole to make it work. But then again, it was a different modification. I have contacted Dorman by phone and also sent photos detailing the problem but I have not received any help from them. What should have been a quick and easy replacement turned into a lot of extra work and time spent on modifications to fit the Dorman panel to my car. The Dorman engineers really made a mistake here.
