You have to change it, but it works.

On 10/19/18 this power window was installed on the rear left door of a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. As many people have pointed out, to make it work like the original, you need to change it. The first thing to change is the holes for the wire clamps. They must be oval. I used the bit from the Wolfride 10 Carbide Bur Set. with 1/8 "shank" sold here at Revain for about $10. I used a cylindrical shaped bit with a rounded head. This is the perfect size for making oval holes. I used bits in a Dremel 4300 tool. I also need to enlarge the hole for the rubber inspection cap. I don't know why the manufacturer didn't make it the same size as the other large plate hole. They must be the same size. You can trace a large hole and then move it to the hole you want to enlarge. To get the rivets out of the speaker I used the same bit in a dremel and sanded the back of the rivets on the back of the speaker. Speaker. I reinstalled the speaker using 3/16" rivets. I think the rivets I used were 1/2" long. I had to drill some holes for the speakers with a 3/16 bit. Once I was done with all of that, I lowered the white plastic piece where the window screw could go. I did this with the engine not installed. After leveling the white plastic, I adjusted the motor so the plastic didn't move. I stuck the panel in the door and ran all the wires. Take a picture of the wiring harness before removing the original fairing. This helps with the installation. After the wires were routed, I lowered the window until it was resting on the white plastic regulator lifter. I had to push the window down with some force to get it between the hole in the plastic. Then insert the screw and the rest of the installation is pretty easy. I gave it 3 runs because I had to change it to make it work. I don't feel like I should Also, it took me an extra 45 minutes to get the job done. The rest seems to work fine, got up with no problems.
