Hello, I bought this about a year and a half ago. I use it more or less every day. Yes, it heats water, auto shuts off and all that BUT there is one issue that made me give 2 stars: metal. See, all I ever put in here was water. And over time I think the metal started chipping away from all the heat. See that white horseshoe down there? This is a delamination of the metal coating. It then turns all those flakes into your hot water, and the strainer in your mouth doesn't really work, so they end up in your tea. That's why I carefully water just to the surface so as not to disturb the flakes. You can clean it, but there will be more peeling. I've been doing this for a few months lately until this week I noticed the horseshoe is a lot whiter. My hot water smelled of metal and therefore of my tea. It gave my tea an odd metallic taste. I've only just realized I've been drinking metal plating, and I'll take the risk of saying metal plating isn't for you. You can feel it in your throat. So 2 stars, I'm out of warranty and it sucks. Thank you Stariver! I will take another kettle.
