Review on MSD 5552 Street Fire Spark by Kevin Duhon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much better than wires already cut

Spark plug wires need to be changed over time. I bought a set of pre-cut wires advertised as OEM length. When I tightened them up I found that the OEM actually ran some wires in the motor mounts and each was about 5 feet long. No matter what I did, those wires were too long for me. Also, I have headers and wanted the wires to run over the valve covers (V8) rather than under them like an OEM setup. I have had good luck with MSD in the past and they have been no exception. The 8mm wires are good quality and more than enough to easily assemble the V8. MSD also includes all 90 degree HEI distributor boots for installation (90 degree spark plug tips and boots already installed). They include a tool to cut and crimp the provided metal ends to the wire and it works great and provides a strong wire crimp. It took a little while, but the job became pretty easy once I started working. Now my wires are exactly what I want.
