There are great benefits to wearing compression stockings, but not for people with certain conditions, such as diabetes. So talk with your medical professional before trying these out. If you get approval, be sure to measure around your ankle and calf, since these stockings are tightest around the ankle and not really based upon shoe size. A person who is 120 pounds won't get the same result as one who is 240 pounds, even if they both wear the same size shoe. I recommend hand washing these. Although they're affordable, they're still more expensive than regular socks and you'll want to take good care of them. If you tend to get ingrown toenails, I recommend the open toe style, though you'll have to wear another pair of socks on top in order to wear shoes, and that might be a nuisance in summer.
