First off, this is the perfect size for an LED flashlight. However, here is the gist. This is not a Fenix LED light. But don't expect that for the price. However, I have several Fenix lights, so my comparison will start with them. In terms of price, this is a decent flashlight that has a lot of good qualities, including structural design. The battery charges fairly quickly if you use an adequate charger, say 2.5 amps or more, especially with the CA cable. What I don't like about this flashlight is the "warm" LED that gives off light. The beam throw is very good, but it doesn't help if the light emitted seems weak. As a commercial pilot, I have found this to be a problem on night inspection rounds. It was unreliable to aim the beam at the asphalt surface with this light to check for liquid leaks. Using "white" and "bright" light provides the best image reflection for my eyes. This also applies when inspecting the undercarriage and wing surfaces. For me as someone who relies heavily on good reflection and isn't concerned about correct color rendering, this light doesn't meet my needs. I bought this light to replace a now lost Fenix 35 based on the reviews I found on Revain. I'm sure this flashlight will be perfect for some people and I can understand why so many people gave the FC-11 five stars. Note: I've been having issues with the multiswitch since the beginning of this review. Pressing the button to turn the light off sometimes triggers strobe mode, and I have to fiddle with the button to get the light to turn off. For this reason I changed the rating to 2 stars. Update: I'm still having issues with this light. The power button doesn't work and I can't contact the seller. If I don't get a response from the seller within three days, I'll have to return the flashlight.
