I had to replace the UC7015R in my Hampton Bay because the receiver broke. I read other reviews and decided to give it a try. Turns out the transmitters are interchangeable (okay). The lights work perfectly again, great, now the reason for the 3 stars. The original is mounted in the lighting kit and the new one in a canopy on the ceiling, only problem because the canopy is 12ft and not the vintner. Second, the old receiver was connected to a Molux connector, so I had to deal with wiring the 6 wires in that connector. Long story short, when I connected gray and yellow to neutral and red and pink to the hot side of the PSU, the fan spins quietly but at the old average speed. The only other combinations I've tried have worked in reverse. It appears that the UC7501R uses a DPDT relay to reverse the fan. That confused me. At the new high speed, the motor vibrates so strongly and loudly through the receiver that the lights ring. Since this was not the case with direct power, I can only assume that there is something wrong with the way the receiver controls the fan speed. That's why I have to work in an environment where the vita is less. The updated 3/10 Eogfee contacted me directly and offered a replacement that worked just like the first one. After more experimentation, I found that even a directly connected motor was noisy and ran. slow. So it looks like the controller isn't to blame. So all I can say is that Hampton Bay did something weird in the original controller that this doesn't compare to. That's good for customer support, bad for not being 100% compatible with the original controller.
