This item is ideal as a replacement for the remote control! I've had a Harbor Breeze Saratoga 60" in my living room for over 8 years now. I bought it new from Lowe's and installed it myself. Over the years my area has had a few power outages with no lasting ill effects. But last month we had a power outage that somehow affected several items in my house. This OLD MODEL Hampton Bay's only remote works like a charm!

This remote control is for OLD MODEL Hampton Bay fans. Therefore, no separate receiver is supplied for installation and no universal receiver needs to be purchased. The remote control is a transmitter. On older Hampton Bay fans, the receiver is built into the fan rather than under a pedestal attached to the ceiling. This is the round yellow part. Essentially replaced my UC7015R in my Hampton Bay

I had to replace the UC7015R in my Hampton Bay because the receiver broke. I read other reviews and decided to give it a try. Turns out the transmitters are interchangeable (okay). The lights work perfectly again, great, now the reason for the 3 stars. The original is mounted in the lighting kit and the new one in a canopy on the ceiling, only problem because the canopy is 12ft and not the vintner. Brand of ceiling fan this remote is used with: Hampton BayCaveat - This review is for a brand new factory remote with a fresh 9VDC battery. I have no data on durability or how well it will work after 3 years. The remote was well packaged, wrapped in bubble wrap and even comes with instructions. I can't remember the latest brand of ceiling fan remote I bought, but I had to put my finger halfway through the remote for it to work and then it was patchy at best.
