Review on White Light Blocking Pleated Fabric Shade - 72 in x 36 in, Redi Shade Original Arch by Amy Moore

He likes to fall out of the window

Pros: It really blocks the light. Cons: Really hard to cut into the right shape. You're trying to cut through a lot of paper at once, which is difficult even with a new razor blade. My windows weren't perfectly semi-circular, so I installed it on the edge of the window, noticing where it overlapped the frame, and trimmed it. It was light enough but the finish wasn't perfect and there was some play around the edges. The problem is that after a few days the blinds fell out of the window. It sags at the base and the system just collapses. It's nice at first, but it doesn't go away over time. I think it needs to be snug against the window frame for the friction to hold it in place, but it's not that simple. I put a couple of clear buttons in the window frame around the semicircle to keep the blind from falling down and holding it in place, but no such action is necessary.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws
