He likes to fall out of the window

Pros: It really blocks the light. Cons: Really hard to cut into the right shape. You're trying to cut through a lot of paper at once, which is difficult even with a new razor blade. My windows weren't perfectly semi-circular, so I installed it on the edge of the window, noticing where it overlapped the frame, and trimmed it. It was light enough but the finish wasn't perfect and there was some play around the edges. The problem is that after a few days the blinds fell out of the window. It sags…

light filtering; DOES NOT block light

While easy to install they give you plenty of material to work with (depending on your window size of course) and they adhere well to the floor, there were a few questions. The biggest problem is that they have to block out the light; however, they filter light at best. I folded the layers in half and the light still shines like we turned on a dim night light. I bought them because we have a yellow street lamp at the end of our yard (it's as bright as a full moon) and it shines into my boy's…

Blocks heat more than light.

I don't think I rate this as highly as some of the reviews I saw when I bought my 1/2 moon window solution. The window it's in lets in the morning light, so I wasn't sure if it would be thick enough to block it. I found it VERY difficult to trim. I still don't understand how to use a utility knife or fabric scissors as you can't cut everything at once. I started with a very sharp utility knife but it was incredibly slow so I switched to fabric scissors. It was virtually impossible to provide an

Nice shadow, great light blocking!

Our television has a glossy screen and this screen works much better than our blinds which block the light! Good quality. It's not very thick but it blocks the light as the description says! Installation: Pretty easy. Just took a few extra steps. It was a little tricky to get it fitted perfectly but that is NOT the manufacturer's fault, in my opinion this is due to the poor workmanship of the window itself by the builder of the house. Piece with a razor, then lay it open in the window. I then…

Exactly what I needed

It was exactly what I was looking for. It's a very simple and light object, but it diverges well and does exactly what it does - it blocks the light. No more sun on your face, hooray! It was a little tricky cutting it to the right length in some places and then leaving it on others, but that might just be me. *Update* This thing. This thing caused a lot of stress. It wasn't too hard to bear at first. It was a little tricky measuring and cropping all the areas differently to fix this but after a

I want perfect arches.

Unfortunately, my arched windows are not perfect arches. They are shorter than they are wide, quite a bit. This means I had to trim the curtains after cutting them to the length needed for the longer window pieces. It wouldn't be too bad, but cutting through the fanned out material is a bit of a chore depending on how precisely you want to cut the shades. Heck, cutting out the entire shade on the first cut is a pain in itself. I cut it a bit with scissors and then cut through the rest of the…

Are we sure it's the light that's *blocking*?

Khrm. I've used a lot of Redi Shade blinds over the years because I grew up mostly over the Snowbelt, but now I'm in the sunny South(tm). , I don't want *me* to shine with all that bright brilliance. It was just a little disappointing which has never happened with the Redi Shade product. First, the measurement instructions on the website. one step away from accuracy. They may find the "right length" blind for your window, but they *don't* tell you that your house was built by low-stakes guys…
