first let me say that I originally looked for a different size and switched to a 2.5 x 5 ft roll and didn't realize it was an interior film acts. When I checked the first size it said it was for indoor or outdoor automotive applications. The 2.5 x 5 was internal only and I bought it with the intention of wrapping my '07 hood with a poor finish, first the clear layer on top which is shiny, peeled off after another piece of vinyl touched it and it was not transparently protective coated. The layer that came on top was the clear layer which gives the film a glossy look. Second, don't even try to do it yourself. My car probably has one of the simplest hoods and this vinyl doesn't lay down right to save my life. People say that you have to pull and stretch well. I wouldn't recommend doing this without an extra hand or two because it simply introduces creases onto the vinyl and is almost impossible to iron out. I used a heat gun and spent HOURS removing air bubbles and wrinkles only to find I couldn't fix any of the finish issues. because they ran out of vinyl. I'm just going to sand and paint black because I know the paint job and it's 10x easier to do.
