I'm not sure if anyone remembers this, but real living sea rock was key to keeping the more complex corals alive back then. They used to use crushed coral gravel, dead coral skeletons and rocks and couldn't keep the SPS alive. Anything you can do to make your reef aquarium feel more like nature will help the aquarium become its own little ecosystem that fish and coral will enjoy. This little 2lb pack comes with its own little plastic tray that fits perfectly in the back of my innovative AIO 30L marine tank. I can't wait to see how things flourish.
