This unit is great in its own right. The small size is incredible. We use it on 2 devices, both Macs. I even use it on an expansion port with an imac because the USB is at the back. There is no problem for the Mac to recognize the device. The reader is about the size of a small USB stick and protrudes slightly. Just be careful not to install anything on your CAC card or reader while using it. Customization is a different story, but it's not the device's fault. The Department of Defense has complicated the process enough to elicit a few choice expletives and require you to have a drink before you can calm down and get through. Militarycac.com is the site you need. The process seems easy; Download the software to turn on your devices (we used CACKEY). Import your certificates and link them to . Old! Not as much. Then the way to OWA is another adventure. I can tell you have to try 2-3 times to access the website before it works, but this happens even on my work computer and has nothing to do with the reader. Bottom Line: If you need a CAC reader, this is a god's choice and travels well. Good luck with your setup. I can't answer questions about pure device setup.
