HAYDEN 677 RADIATOR CHEVY & TOYOTA REVIEW

Vehicles: 01 Chevy Silverado 4.3 Vortec V6 Rated 5000# Towing 03 Toyota Tacoma 2.7 Inline 4 Rating 3500# Towing. CX-5 on vacation with a 5x10 trailer full of camping gear. 3k lesson learned. preparing to move to Appalachia won't happen again! Both trucks have coolers installed, I installed both coolers AFTER the factor. We have mild winters in the south. If you live in the north, you should connect the radiator BEFORE the factory radiator. Installation was easy. I prefer this orientation (1st photo) over other options. The work took 1 hour. without additional hose. Toyota installation took longer. This was my best option (photos 2 and 3). Make sure the "supply" line is pumping fluid through the lower fitting and returning fluid from the upper fitting "back" to the transmission. really needed the 2ft extra hose. The one I got for my Toyota had excessive build up of paint (pic 4) around the spikes, took a small file and lightly removed the excess paint. lbs, this is perfect for my v6 and 4 bugger. Watch YouTube and read installation tips on car/truck forums. I highly recommend mounting the radiator in front of and away from the condenser if you have the option, that way you get 100% maximum cooling. Be sure to check the fluid level after installation. I put 1/2 liter of gear oil in both trucks after installation.
