You'll need this Cordless Caulking Gun

It's been a while since I've been wowed by a tool. After applying a large amount of roofing caulk with a manual caulk gun, I told myself I would look for a cordless gun to make my job easier. While there are cheaper and well-established cordless guns out there, I had already invested in Dewalt's 20V Max batteries and was therefore limited to one of their guns that costs $50 more (gun only). But after using this gun for a small project, I wish I had bought it sooner. Now the dream is to install the sealant. Positive aspects of the gun: - Relatively light, even with battery and full hose - Adjustable speed allows perfect control over the joint compound - The tool is not made of metal, but looks well made even in plastic. I don't expect a caulking gun to be rugged, unlike say a miter saw. - The reverse indication at the end of the portion is a nice touch and necessary. pipe size. I believe another reviewer said it's possible because the gun's larger tube holder fits this gun, even though Dewalt says that's not the case. Regardless, I personally use standard sized tubes, so this isn't a deal breaker. I find the price of the gun a bit high, especially since it is a simple tool without a battery. But I understand why they do it, so people who haven't invested in Dewalt need to buy a cordless tool. For those of us who have invested, I feel penalized, forced to pay higher prices for a tool without a battery. Overall I'm happy with the gun and look forward to using it. I think this is a good addition to my line of Dewalt tools. Update: Now that I've used this tool I have a few more things to add to my review. The pierced metal rod with the sealing tube did not initially hold reliably. Then it just broke on a metal rivet. A complete design flaw that needs to be fixed. The plastic sleeve that holds the tube IS STURDY, unlike the one mentioned by a reviewer. Overall I'm happy with the purchase of this pistol. There is a slight learning curve to this process compared to using a manual caulking gun, but you'll get the hang of it quickly and easily.
