Review on Tow Ready 20142 7-Way Flat Pin to 7-Flat Plug Adapter - Regular Plug by Josh Kim

I have a 2014 Audi Q7 with a factory installed tow kit (trailer hitch, control module, etc.). When I plugged my 1992 bumper trailer (half incandescent, half LED headlight) into a 7 pin Audi spade connector, there was no light. I tested the trailer on my Ford truck using the same plug (no adapters needed) and all the bulbs on the trailer worked. I knew my Audi was to blame. I did a little research and found a few possible issues causing the issue. Decided to "test" the most rational issue, Audi didn't like the LED lights on the trailer, so I ordered this adapter. This adapter is great, reliable, has good contact and grip and feels like it will last forever. Boom! With this adapter all the lights on my trailer came on (side markers, position lights, turn signals) but the brake lights (should be brighter when braking) didn't get brighter, they stayed the same bright. This is not the fault of this product, it actually worked fine. If you have the same car or type of car (Euro style) that has all the headlights working with this adapter but not the brake lights, I found out when the dealer installed the factory hitch. package they could not "program" the car for US style brake lights (the car defaults to "pulse" brake lights which will not work with US style trailers).
