I bought these pads for my 4 year old daughter to skate outside. Both the knee pads and elbow pads have two Velcro straps to keep them in place, but the best part is that they also have elastic straps so you can attach them to legs and arms. That way they don't just slide up if my daughter falls. She uses rubber bands most of the time, but when she first puts on skates, she only uses Velcro. I love this option on these pillows.
