Review on πŸ”ͺ Top-Rated Oregon 520 120 Bench Chain Grinder for Optimal Precision and Efficiency by Jeff Bridgewater

Revainrating 3 out of 5

riddled with design flaws.

Doesn't cut angles at all. Many design flaws such as B. the motor will affect the grinding if your grinding wheel is not new. Often expect to buy a fine grinding wheel for certain angle cuts due to poor design. Very disappointed in Oregon. It's riddled with design flaws, which is why I feel the how-to videos are so poorly done. If they used it more often, the instruction videos would be more complete than third party videos and they would have to deal with some disadvantages. I recommend 3rd party videos if you get it, for example the Oregon cutting technique will melt a less sharp edge. This gets the job done, but not as efficiently or efficiently as it should for some chains and angles. There are a few variables that the manual and video don't cover to practice with ood chains and learn wheel placement. The angle for some chains cannot be made right without modifying the clamp and using it a little differently.

Pros
  • Includes: grinder, sanding block and profile guide, instructions for use, plus two grinding wheels (3.2mm and 4.7mm) and a 6.0mm flat profile wheel for depth gauge maintenance
Cons
  • So far so good
