Good grinding tool.

I've been using cheaper brands for a few years because my hands can't work with a file anymore. Good sharpener. I'm still having a bit of an issue with which grinding wheel to use on my chain, but hopefully I'll figure it out. I'm using the recommended one, but it seems too big for the chain I'm using. I am now 67 years old and have used a chainsaw to cut all types of trees for firewood and cleaning for many years and have sharpened many chains. Next time I sharpen my change I'll use a smallerโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Professional table or wall grinder: ideal for professional users. Ideal for frequent sharpening of high volume chains
Cons
  • New competition has emerged

Best Choice for Sharpeners

The instructions were good but it took some time and practice to get the chain cut angles right. I had an old chain I was practicing on and spoke to my local chain sharpener to get some handy tips on using the machine. Gave four stars because the buttons are all plastic and I would have preferred all metal. Also, when setting the cutting angles, you need to be careful not to over-tighten the plastic knobs, and you need to pay close attention to the angles, as the alignment marks aren't asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Save time and money by sharpening your own chainsaw chain. The chopper easily mounts to a workbench or wall with the two screws provided - perfect for a workshop or garage
Cons
  • Something different

riddled with design flaws.

Doesn't cut angles at all. Many design flaws such as B. the motor will affect the grinding if your grinding wheel is not new. Often expect to buy a fine grinding wheel for certain angle cuts due to poor design. Very disappointed in Oregon. It's riddled with design flaws, which is why I feel the how-to videos are so poorly done. If they used it more often, the instruction videos would be more complete than third party videos and they would have to deal with some disadvantages. I recommend 3rdโ€ฆ
