Works well but not quite perfect. It doesn't turn the water blue like some pill drops, so don't expect that. I positioned the hanger on the flat side of the toilet more than the curved side so the water flow hits the hanging cleaner more. The scent of the ocean is very pleasant and subtle. I don't want too much scent, I prefer a light, subtle scent. There is some foam. It's been working for a long time too. Of course this is on a case-by-case basis as some people (big family or couples in the house) flush more often than others, but I like its durability. I think it cleans a little bit better than nothing, but I still occasionally use a toilet brush to scrub hard water stains. I rarely use the toilet brush, but I still need it every once in a while.
